About the Band

From Chicago, the Josh Murtha Organ Trio plays a grooving blend of jazz and blues rooted in tradition and driven by contemporary sensibilities.

Featuring Hammond organ, guitar, and drums, the group channels the spirit of classic organ trios while carving out a sound that’s soulful, swinging and modern.

General purpose

Social Media?

I am not a fan of those platforms, their algorithms, or the tax-evading billionaires who run them.

While this may limit the exposure of our music, I believe that self promotion via social media offers a fairly low ROI anyway. There is a fine line between self-promotion and spamming - especially when it comes to niche creative music like Jazz.

For those reasons, we rely on the tried and true email list to spread the word to fans and friends.
